Inbox

The Inbox module brings your WhatsApp and LinkedIn conversations into Heffl. Manage messages, link conversations to contacts, and keep all communication in one place.

Setting up an inbox

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations
  2. Connect WhatsApp or LinkedIn via Unipile
  3. Follow the authentication flow to link your account
  4. Your inbox is created automatically

WhatsApp inbox

Once connected, you can:
  • View conversations - All WhatsApp conversations appear in your inbox
  • Send messages - Reply directly from Heffl
  • Attach files - Send images, documents, audio, and video
  • Link to contacts - Associate WhatsApp conversations with CRM contacts
  • Track status - See message delivery and read status

Sending a WhatsApp message

  1. Open a conversation or start a new one
  2. Type your message
  3. Optionally attach files
  4. Click Send

Contact sync

Heffl automatically syncs WhatsApp contacts. When a contact’s phone number matches a CRM contact, the conversation is linked automatically.

LinkedIn inbox

Manage LinkedIn messages alongside your other conversations:
  • View messages - See all LinkedIn conversations
  • Send messages - Reply to connections
  • Link to contacts - Associate LinkedIn conversations with CRM contacts

Starting a LinkedIn conversation

  1. Go to Inbox
  2. Select your LinkedIn inbox
  3. Start a new conversation by selecting a contact
  4. Type and send your message

Inbox features

Conversation status

Manage conversations with status labels:
StatusDescription

Auto-assignment

Configure automatic conversation assignment:
  1. Open inbox settings
  2. Set assignment rules (round-robin or specific users)
  3. New conversations are automatically assigned

Unread tracking

Each contact’s unread message count is tracked. Unread conversations are highlighted in the inbox list for quick identification.

FAQ

Yes. Once connected, any team member with inbox access can view and respond to conversations.
The WhatsApp integration works with both personal and business WhatsApp accounts through the Unipile connector.
Messages are synced and viewable in Heffl. The message history stays linked to the respective CRM contacts.
